Sakshi runs several programs with the twin goals to prevent disease and provide access to medical care. Improving the health of children and mothers is a primary focus.

Programs include ensuring the medical care and nourishment of children in our education centres, educating mothers about nutrition and family planning and holding community health and nutrition camps.

L: Women's Health Camp

Our Health Services for School Children:

• Monthly health check-up of children in Sakshi’s education programs.
• Provision of Medicines since the parents generally cannot afford them.
• Provision of nutritious lunches to the school children at Sakshi’s education centres, so they are sure of at least one proper meal.
• Pulse Polio Camps to protect against this debilitating disease                                            

Our Health Services for Women/Mothers and the Community

• Monthly workshop for Mothers, facilitated by eminent professionals from Delhi medical colleges. The women are taught how to prepare low-budget nutritious meals and provided information on family planning and prevention of HIV/AIDS.

• Family planning centers have been opened.
• Health and Specialty Health Camps (Eye, Gynae etc), OPD's and Nutrition camps are organized specially for women and also for communities with the help of medical teams. Health is the most basic building block for the better future of a child and her family. If you wish to help, you can:

• Donate to Sakshi. If you wish, you can specify it go to the Health Project.
• Sponsor a children's health check-up or a month's cost of medicines and food.
• Sponsor a women's workshop on nutrition and family planning.
• Sponsor a community health camp or nutrition camp.
